Sanford, Florida, February 10, 2006 - PRISM International, Inc., a leading provider of innovative and proven consulting services, training programs and products for leveraging diversity and inclusion, announced the launching of their new division - the Association of Diversity Councils. The Association of Diversity Councils is a memberbased network of corporate diversity councils dedicated to increasing the impact, effectiveness and recognition of diversity councils as an essential partner in developing, implementing and maintaining a strategic diversity focus within the organization.
Linda Stokes, President & CEO of PRISM stated, "PRISM decided to become more
aggressive in addressing and meeting the many needs of diversity councils". Stokes also announced that Janice E. Bowman would assume the duties as President of the
Association of Diversity Councils. Bowman stated, "This association was created to
fill the void that currently exists for supporting diversity councils, their members and the organizations they serve. It is my passion, purpose and desire to assist in
increasing the effectiveness of diversity council."
Ms. Bowman is responsible for directing the content, research and development
and overseeing membership growth. Prior to joining the Association of Diversity
Councils, she was the Manager-Workforce Diversity for We Energies, a
subsidiary of Wisconsin Energy Corporation where she had responsibilities for
developing and implementing diversity strategies. Additionally, Bowman has
assisted numerous organizations with their diversity and diversity council needs.
She is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Equal Opportunity (WAEO),
Human Resource Management Association of Southeastern Wisconsin (HRMA)
and the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce, Inc. Bowman holds a
Masters degree in Human Resource Management from the Keller Graduate
School of Management.
