The creation of a Diversity Council is an important component of a strategic diversity process. Effective Diversity Councils contribute leadership, creativity and effort to make the strategies and tactics a reality. A Diversity Council is a group of people within an organization who lead, advocate for, coordinate, inform, and/or monitor the Strategic Diversity Management process. Highly productive diversity councils can have a multiplying effect. Council Members can assist with data gathering, can assist in the communication process, will be involved in establishing measures, help educate employees about diversity, and continually reinforce the company's commitment to the diversity process. And, by achieving tangible results quickly, members can help build momentum for the company's overall diversity initiative.
Because PRISM has assisted so many organizations in creating and developing effective Diversity Councils, it created a special division within the company - the Association of Diversity Councils. The Association of Diversity Councils is a member-based network of diversity councils dedicated to increasing the impact, effectiveness and recognition of diversity councils as an essential partner in developing; implementing and maintaining a strategic diversity focus within the organization. For more information, visit the Association of Diversity Council website: www.DiversityCouncil.com.
"PRISM brought focus and alignment to our diversity process and to our Diversity Council to insure that we were organized and well equipped to do the work."

"We've appreciated the training you did for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Diversity Advisory Council (DAC). This was the first time this group has had any type of formal training and the feedback was great! The ten tactics outlined in the "Articulate Advocate" presentation were practical steps that the DAC members walked away with to help them immediately feel more equipped in their role. Thanks so much for working with our schedule to make this training happen for us!"
