Increasing Employee Engagement & Innovation Workshop
using the Charting Your Course Diversity & Inclusion Knowledge Map™

Date: Thursday, May 28, 2009
Location: Florida A&M University, College of Law, Orlando, FL
Duration: 3.5 Hours
Times: Session #1 9AM-12:30PM or Session #2 1PM-4:30PM

Organizations wanting to grow and improve their systems and processes must focus on the people practices that increase their engagement - involving all team members and valuing their contributions - while increasing innovation.  Research clearly shows that adopting and investing in such best-practice strategies result in bottom-line improvement in key areas of increasing revenue, increasing customer satisfaction, improving quality, increasing productivity, reducing costs, reducing cycle time, increasing return to shareholders and market capitalization.

Diversity and inclusion is an important and strategic focus for organizations today. Their workforce, workplace and marketplace are becoming increasingly more diverse and complex. To compete successfully for business and talent, it becomes critical for each team member to contribute their best talents, skills abilities and experiences. Today’s organizations must be committed to creating an inclusive environment to develop each individual's skills, abilities and experiences. Organizations committed to creating an inclusive environment have a distinct competitive advantage. The challenge becomes building inclusive teams that are in alignment with the strategy of the organization. To be successful, all employees need to understand and be supportive of the strategy.

Every team member has a role in contributing to and realizing the organizational objectives. Can you answer the following about your organization?

  • Are inclusive behaviors modeled by executives?
  • Are inclusive behaviors modeled by supervisors and managers?
  • Are inclusive behaviors modeled by team members?
  • Can you clearly and articulately define “diversity & inclusion’?
  • Can you identify the “5 Converging Trends“ impacting organizations today?
  • Can you differentiate between ‘Creating Representation” and “Leveraging Diversity & Inclusion”?
  • Who is assisting team members in developing the skills and knowledge to create a respectful and productive workplace?
  • What systems are in place to support a respectful and productive workplace?
  • Do you have the knowledge (awareness and skill) and know your role in creating and supporting an inclusive workplace that promotes employee engagement and innovation?

If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, then you need to register for this business-relevant 3.5 hour workshop.  With the tips and techniques provided, you'll learn that creating an inclusive environment increases employee engagement and innovation and produces greater organizational performance, profitability and success.
What would your workplace look and feel like if you and other team members had the awareness and skills to create and sustain an inclusive workplace?  Would you be fully engaged if you knew your contributions were appreciated and valued?  Would you be a better team member and contribute more to the organization?  Do you think productivity and innovation would increase? Would your organization be a better place to work and do business with?
You can make a difference!  You can become a better contributor and make your organization a better place to work.  You can make it better for your team members and your customers.  You can increase engagement and innovation!  And you can be a catalyst for your organization too!  Attend this powerful 3.5 hour workshop and learn the strategies needed to transform yourself, your professional relationships, your organization and your life!
