FIFTH ANNUAL 2013 DIVERSITY COUNCIL HONORS AWARD™ APPLICATION PROCESS OPENSPRISM Press Release, February 18, 2013 For Additional Information Contact: Debbie Lent, PRISM Media, 888.997.7476
In its fifth year, the Diversity Council Honors Award™ is the only annual national award that recognizes honors and celebrates the outstanding contributions and achievements of diversity council groups (diversity councils, ERGs, Affinity and Network groups) that lead the diversity process in their organizations and demonstrate results in their workforce, workplace and marketplace. "Award recipients help set the standard for excellence for diversity councils across the U.S.",says Philip Berry, Executive Director of the Association of Diversity Councils. He continues, "Recipients report that it helps secure budgets and resources and increases their personal and professional recognition, prestige, credibility, self-esteem and motivation. Furthermore, it helps with council recruitment and retention and improves organizational visibility for their council and members." President and CEO Linda Stokes of PRISM International, Inc. parent company of the Association of Diversity Councils adds, "There is more to this than awards. This is about all council groups having the opportunity to share and learn best practices and improving their effectiveness and contribution to their organization". All councils submitting a completed application will receive their results in their complimentary 2013 Diversity Council Honors Award™ Application Summary Report. This report provides councils with feedback and comparative information that will enhance their performance and increase their value to the organization they serve. An outgrowth from the annual Honors Award celebration is the 2013 Diversity Council Conference: Increasing Effectiveness – Driving Results! This is the only conference designed specifically for council groups and members providing the richest experience at the greatest value. Last year's one day inaugural conference attracted 90 organizations and 80 council groups. The year's conference returns to Washington D.C. for two days - October 2nd and 3rd. It will provide council groups and their members with expanded opportunities to learn and share best practices, network, celebrate and grow. They will become more capable of thinking differently, to innovate and drive results which will make a substantive difference in the organization. They will review their own initiatives and strategies and be better able to determine how they can be more effective and impactful in delivering results. The TOP 25 council recipients will receive their awards during a dinner ceremony at the conference. About the Association of Diversity Councils About PRISM International, Inc.
